SUMMIT LNG TERMINAL CO. is developing a site off the coast of Moheshkhali island, Bangladesh for the construction of an offshore marine terminal to support continuous offshore re‐gasification of liquefied natural gas for onward delivery to the onshore transfer location.
GEOCEAN , in a consortium, is in charge of the complete design, procurement, construction and installation of the mooring system for the terminal. The development includes the installation of a total of 10 suction pile foundations (SPF), which are used as anchor piles (8x) as well as foundation for a subsea PLEM and landing pad.
SPT Offshore was awared for suction services to the installation of one (1) PLEM, one (1) landing pad and eight (8) suction piles offshore Bangladesh. For this purpose, SPT provided relevant documentation, equipment and personnel to safely and efficiently execute the suction operations.
