The Fujian Changle Waihai Area A&C offshore wind farm located approximately 22km from onshore, and the water depth is from 31m to 45m. The OWF includes 72 x 3-leg suction pile jacket foundations with 1 x 6.7MW, 50 x 8MW, 21 x 10MW wind turbines. The length of suction pile is from 17 – 26m long and outside diameter is from 10 to 15m.
SPT offshore was responsible for the suction pile jacket concept design, suction pile detail design, suction installation analysis and suction installation service.
We cooperated closely with our Chinese partner Yongfu Power Engineering for both the suction pile jacket design as the suction installation services. First we installed 57no upto 10MW WTG suction pile jackets for Fujian Changle Waihai Area C developed by the Fujian Energy Group. Thereafter we installed as well 15no upto 8 MW WTG suction pile jackets for Changle Waihai Area A, which are being developed by China Three Gorges (CTG).
