Positive project developments in hard times

SPT Offhore, Woerden, The Netherlands 19th March 2020,

Despite the Corona virus threat, we are happy to bring you some good news. Our Chinese energy projects are planned to be executed starting next month. The oil & gas field development projects consist of the installation of pipelay start-up piles and PLEM installations. Our scope covers suction installation engineering and services. We will use two of our SAPS-003s deepwater suction pump / lifting tool and one of our rental suction piles capable of handling pull-in loads up to 125ton. Water depths range from 450m to 1,560m.

Furthermore a new Offshore Wind Project was awarded to us. Guangzhou Salvage Bureau has contracted SPT Offshore to install 3 suction pile jackets for wind turbines within the China Three Gorges New Energy Yangxi Shaba Phase I Offshore Wind Farm, about 26km to the South of Shaba in Guangdong province, People’s Republic of China. The water depth is ranging between 26m and 30m. We will perform the suction installation services including all related engineering preparations, such as suction installation procedures, suction pile penetration analysis and grouting consultation. We will use three of our latest improved SAPS-007 suction pumps units having 100% redundancy. The execution of our installation services is scheduled from July to August in 2020.

Additional health measures will be taken to prevent infections. We wish everybody privately and business wise all the best to overcome these hard times.
