Cloud signing ceremony

On 29 July 2020, SPT Offshore and Fujian Yongfu Power Engineering signed the contract for their mutual coorperation in the Fujian Changle Waihai Offshore Wind Farm Project. The consulate of the Netherlands organized the “cloud signing ceremony”.

The signing ceremony was, besides representatives of both companies, also attended by  Michiel Bierkens, Consul General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou and Arjen Schutten, director of Holland Home of Wind Energy (HHWE). HHWE organized Dutch offshore wind missions to Fujian, in close cooperation with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and our Consulate General.

The Changle Waihai Offshore Wind Farm locates at the east water area of Changle, Fuzhou city. The Offshore Wind Farm is 31 – 50km from shore. The average water depth is 37 to 45m.

The capacity of Changle Area A is 300 MW, consisting of 40 wind turbines from which 15 are suction pile jacket foundations. The capacity of Changle Area C is 496MW, consisting of 62 wind turbines. All of them are scheduled to be suction pile jacket foundations. SPT Offshore is responsible for the design and installation of the  suction pile jacket foundations.

Changle Waihai project is farthest to shore and deepest offshore wind farm in China. And it will be the biggest offshore wind farm to apply suction pile foundations after the completion.
