Joep Athmer has an extensive career in maritime and oil & gas projects and developments.
He started his career as a Research Engineer and developed himself over his 40 years career towards functions like Project Director, Manager Engineering and Estimating, Managing Director and Member of the Executive Board of Van Oord. He has worked all around the world for 22 years including countries like the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Iran, South Korea, Taiwan, Canada and the Russian Federation. In various roles he has worked with larges companies like ExxonMobil, Gazprom, Shell, Technip FMC, Saipem, Subsea 7, Heerema and Allseas. Whereby words like cooperation and the ability to deliver were key. He is married, has four children and believes in connecting people both externally and within companies ‘to make it happen’.
Hans van den Brakel
Acquisition advisor and former CFO of Egeria
With a background in accountancy, he developed into a financial specialist at Intercena (Anthos). For 10 years, as CFO at Egeria, the former Private Equity Fund of the Brenninkmeijer family, he has exploited and expanded his knowledge. He was involved in a large number of divergent acquisitions and sales. Since 2007 he has been the owner of Iepenstaete Bedrijfsadviseurs and has worked as an independent business advisor. He is also a supervisory director of investment fund Holland Venture III, Van ‘t Hek Group, Van’ t Hek International, Martens and Van Oord (MvO) and member of the Advisory Board of SPT Offshore.
