Alternative to Floatover? SIP2 self installing platform combines jacket and deck installation in ONE go! 

SPT Offshore successfully installed the SIP2 barge installed platform jack-up concept for the 10,000 ton Centrica F3FA platform. The concept combines transport and installation of the jacket and topsides deck in ONE offshore campaign. This concept is an atractive alternative to the traditional floatover platforms.

SPT Offshore is an independent offshore contractor specialised in subsea suction pile foundations and Self Installing Platforms (SIP) for the development of marginal oil and gas fields and offshore wind farms. SPT has a long track record and installed more than 250 suction piles worldwide in a wide range of soils from loose to very dense sands, in soft to stiff clays and in layered soils.

SPT Offshore offers innovative well-proven solutions in order to reduce costs and to create flexibility in the field development programme. Self Installing Platforms do not require expensive heavy lift vessels. This leads to considerable cost reductions and an earlier return on investment. Moreover this creates felxibility in planning field developments.

SPT Offshore scope of work includes:

- platform concept studies

- fabrication of suction piles and jackets

- transport and installation services of suction piles and complete self installing platforms / wind turbine foundations

- rental of suction piles for temporary anchoring

Furthermore, SPT offers deepwater anchoring and foundation solutions, such as Suction Pile Clusters (SPC) and Suction Embedded Anchors (SEA) for the mooring of floating units (FPSOs, MOPUs, buoys, FSUs, etc), subsea structures and subsea pipelines.
